Our day trip from Fez to the Middle Atlas will start from Imouzzer the Berber village. Lake Dait Aoua on the way is Morocco’s most popular lake. A cool moist combination and oak and cedar trees surround it. The lake on its immediate outskirts has a chain of poplars and willows a few miles. Leave 1⁄2 hour to enjoy the hills below.
Then we’re going to visit Ifrane, A charming Alpine town, also called “the Little Switzerland”. It is a lovely town. AlAkhawaine University is located at the gateway of Ifrane. Then you will see the flowers of this picturesque city built by the French in the Atlas Mountains and the design of the French style.
During our day trip from Fez to the Middle Atlas, explore Azrou, a Berber village founded at 1250 meters above sea level and home to the Berber peoples, the first inhabitants of Morocco. Always watch Berber men tend their flock, brown food, practice their crafts, tapestry and woodwork particularly. The best-preserved cedar forest in Morocco is a little farther south, where you can see Barbary ape from the high trees. You could even find the popular gray Atlas swoons along the Cedar Forest road.

Know a little bit about the history, and explore the Switzerland of Morocco ; Ifrane
At an early hour in the morning, and in a convenient and comfortable vehicle, we’ll pick you up from your hotel, to start our pleasant trip to the Middle Atlas, Imouzzer, Ifrane and Azrou. Our first stop will be in Imouzzer, a small town renowned in September for its Apple festival, in which Berber families often stay in cellars.
Heading towards Ifrane, we can discover the most popular Moroccan Lake, « Ain Vitel » which is filled with water, birds and cool, cedar-tree forests. We must stop also to look at that gorgeous place and take memorable pictures of the surrounding hills.
Continue on to the charming alpine village of Ifrane« Little Switzerland», built by France in 1930. We are stopping in Ifrane to see the monumental Lion Stone of Al Akawayn University. Instead, you can switch to numerous flowers-lined alleys, French design and Ifrane snow impressions during winter and a mild environment in season.
After that, we will have lunch in a restaurant in the city. Cross the cedar forest. After lunch and reach the national park and meet the Barbary Apes for a memorable experience.
Then we will stop by Azrou, the Berber village with the residences of the Berber people of Morocco in the south. In Azrou, we are going to watch Berber people, grinding grain, performing their trade with their flocks. In particular; carpentry and polishing. The popular creeping cooperative we’re going to walk through. A cup of tea for a cup of Berber life, culture and tradition won’t end without Berber family living in the cellar and enjoy a hot Moroccan tea.
At the end of our day trip in the Middle Atlas Mountains, we will drive you back to Fez to your stay.
